Deosan Dairy Farming Hygiene Solutions

Meet the Team Behind the Solutions

Michaela Rowlands, Deosan Dairy Hygiene Specialist, United Kingdom.

Michaela Rowlands is a Deosan Dairy Hygiene Specialist, working with dairy farms in the UK. Michaela has worked on dairy farms for ten years, 5 of which have been alongside her time at Diversey.

In the UK, Michaela’s customers vary in size from 100 – 1750 cows. They produce milk using a variety of systems, from block calving to all year-round calving herds. Some cattle are housed while others opt to follow a New Zealand-style dairy system, whereby cows spend the majority of the year outdoors, getting as much from rotational grazing as possible.

Michaela has a real passion for the UK dairy industry, focussing on helping her customers to achieve top quality milk, whilst upholding high welfare standards.

“It is important for me to help the farmers I work with to achieve a profitable farm to pass on to future generations. I am really proud of the quality and welfare of British dairying, and feel privileged to play a part in it within my Deosan role”

“I haven’t been lucky enough to work with dairy farms abroad, but our climate and standards allow for some of the best milk in the world, and I enjoy passing on my knowledge and skills to ensure the UK’s dairy farmers can reach their full goals  and potentials, whatever they may be.”

In her role at Diversey, Michaela has been surprised by the number of dairy farmers using hygiene products without knowing what, or how much, to use.

“I have been able to save farmers a considerable amount of money by simply switching them onto tailor-made hygiene plans. Every Deosan product is designed to deliver the highest performance at the lowest active dose rate, and never sacrifices hygiene standards in doing so.”
